National Archive in Krakow (Archiwum Narodowe w Krakowie)

The National Archive in Krakow is our primary workplace.

Its holdings comprise hundreds of fonds, including:

  • records of the Krakow magistrate (MAG I, MAG II);
  • cadastral records for all of Western Galicia;
  • notarial deeds;
  • court records;
  • military files;
  • school and university records;
  • parish records (mostly on microfilm);
  • nobility estate records.

The main archival signatures begin with the number 29.

We work in the reading rooms on ul. Rakowicka and at the branch offices in Nowy Sącz and Tarnów almost every week. We order specific units through the online catalogue szukajwarchiwach.gov.pl and then review them in person on site.
